Why You’re the Most Important Person in Your Business
By
The person who can make your business a success is not an investor or even a mentor. It’s you!
There, I just said it. Just in case you don’t know, you are the most important “element” in your business. Yes, you might need an investor if you don’t have the funds to back it up, but if it’s your Company, then it’s your business and your responsibility.
You Are the Heart of Your Business
Being responsible for your business is just that – you are the heart of it all, so you are in control. And although you rely on other people to run and manage aspects of your business affairs, all your employees and workers are actually depending on you. Yeah, you run the show, and its success or failure will depend largely on you.
There simply is no reason for you to think, even for one second, that you are not totally in control of your business. Yeah, even if you are not that experienced and knowledgeable that you need a mentor to help you, you are still the main component of your business structure, not your mentor.
Recognize Your Importance
So don’t confuse getting help from other people as a sign that your Company’s success depends on them. In a way, yes, because you can’t do all these things all by yourself. My point is simply to recognize the fact that YOU are the most important person in your business structure.
It’s really important to recognize your own importance to the Company in order for you to run your business successfully. So, since you know that your business needs you, it becomes really important to focus on keeping yourself healthy, educated, and well balanced. Why? Well, because without your direct supervision, the whole business will fail.
Taking Care of Yourself and Your Business
See, there’s one good reason why you should take really good care of your health. I mean, it’s ok to get sick once in a while. You have competent people as employees to take care of business matters when you are down with flu or something like that. But still, you wouldn’t want to get sick when there are important business matters to attend to, right?
Keep On Improving Yourself
As the brain of your Company, I don’t need to tell you that you should be knowledgeable about your business too. Maybe you need a mentor to guide you at the start, but eventually you’ll have to handle things on your own. And as time goes by, you should be expanding your knowledge too, especially these days when the advancement of technology is simply unstoppable. Of course you don’t want to be left behind, that’s why you need to continuously educate yourself.
Learning about the latest technologies, strategies and techniques in your market will also help your business grow. You can go to school for this or do your own research on the Internet. These days, informational and educational materials are all within your reach from your computer or cell phone.
Your Challenge
And now I have a challenge for you. I do this too, as a way to motivate myself.
Every day (starting today), I want you to take 3 important actions. It can be anything, as long as it will benefit your health, mind and business. Ok, let me give you some examples.
Exercising is good for your health, so that can be one of your actions on a particular day. You can also make it a point to eat a healthy meal instead of those fast food fatty meals.
You can also learn new things or study a subject that you’re interested in. Just read about it on the Internet and you’ll be wiser and more informed after the task.
If you want to take an action for your business, you can look at new strategies to implement. Or maybe, come up with new marketing plans to promote your products and services.
See, there are lots of things that you can do for yourself and for your business. And if you consciously tell yourself to do at least three things every day, you’ll be really productive and successful!
